Sir Julian Montague’s essay arose out of a tempest in which I could have gone two ways, the madness was the fire they demanded an explanation of why my life was so warped, and then the dreams which came in like a tsunami alerted me to the possibility that our unconscious is really wanting to plant seed in our fertile consciousness, that when we take notice or show some respect for the unconscious content, the primordial or mythic structures of the human psyche, it responds in kind, it wants to make contact, it’s that still small voice that is offering us profound insights if we would but listen, that the human psyche is designed for alchemical miracles, it’s there in our dreams, in the history of world myths, in the symbolism and archetype structure that underpin the unfolding mystery of this evolving human and solar consciousness, and its tentacles are everywhere, as above, so below, it’s the language before language in all its multiplicity, and so all I ever tried to do was connect the dots, gather the fragmented jigsaw pieces and be open to what shapes and meanings were being revealed. I’ve concentrated my thoughts and attention to a multiplicity of themes that have arisen after thirty years of recorded dreams, and visionary experiences, it’s not nothing, and yes it’s possibly incoherent and yet that’s hardly the point, all I’ve ever tried to ask IS WHO ARE WE?
