The new Satellite phone was to be used by everyone in the world. Seeing as the aftermath of the cable wars between china and USA and Russia. The world would only rely on the Nrillionaire Communications satellite company had cornered the market. Every phone was either retrofitted with the transmitter inserted into the charging port of the phone or remodified by qualified installers.
The world was Sattelite phone as the towers stood redundant next to the pits that housed the copper and optical fibre to sit like mueums of the ancient way people used to communicate via a fixed wire. The Young King B and the Trillionaire Leon Skum combined there inherit fortunes to make the National Universe Comms Company. N.U.C.C. The short lived war of countries cutting off each others Optical Fibre Cables and dropping EMP missiles to stop the Drone wars taking out each others towers and destroying infrastructure.
The world was reduced to Barter and the human losses were immense as the rise of cult like devotion to different sectarian groups arose from the ashes of a insane chapter in history. Due to the name of the A.i programme they were using the Controling world Governance was left for the Aquarius A.i system. Also known as APE the Aquarius Power Elite. This system managed the Database for the Satellite system and set govenance contracts to keep the simple systems of communications continuing while the rebuild of infrastructure and trade routes were enabled. It was a Communal system that collectivised by smart contracts that had to be honoured by the network.
The Generational gaps were unified socially as people were forced into social groups of survival and those who worked best together in non competitive force were the surviving race. Those who gravitated to traditional top down power during the comms war outage they were the first to reach point of starvation and self destruction.
